"Darukhana is an Industrial area to the North of Mumbai known for the construction sites in which they come demolished and reused naval parts. A number unspecified shipyards offers work for around 6.000 people providing in 12 weeks to dismantling of 20.000 tons of cargo ship. Working conditions are dangerous for both the dismantling method, as for substances highly toxic present. Entered to the Dock I am overwhelmed by a deafening noise and comunicate is almost impossible. The strong smell of an oxydric flame mixed with lubricants burnt it makes the air unbreathable.Not even the monsoon rain, typical of this time of year, it seems to intimidate the workers who are proceeding incessant. My presence does not disturb them. I try to speak with someone to know their living conditions and their salary. They are the faces of those used to a weary job.
