"Stretching for 42 km, the Passer stream is one of the major tributaries of the Adige in the province of Bolzano. The common thread of the images of this photographic “marathon” is sound, that which is generated by the waters of the Passer, and not the sight of the river. If one pays attention, they can always hear it: initially soft, sometimes impetuous and bewildering, at times partially muffled, at others suffocated by human noise. This background symphony is part of my life, of this long phase of it in Merano. For more than twenty years, I have lived but a few metres from the river, and entering a silent house destabilizes and disorients me."(continue...)
