"This project takes source from my own life experience. The images are created by composing photographs of the scars on my body due to as many surgeries and photographs of places from my past, a dreamlike journey back in time remembering the events and places that have made me who I am. All the pictures, both those of the scars and those of the landscapes, are mine, carefully choosing each landscape image to join it to a specific scar, associating it with its positive memory; essentially places in the Camargue, landscapes that are part of my childhood. This project was born as an inner research on the 'signs' that time and adversity have left inside and on me; what was initially a personal path has become a polyphonic project involving other people with a similar path to mine."(continue...)
